You have to hold the blade at just the right angle, and apply just the right amount of pressure to get a consistent edge along the length of the steel. My Presto Professional EverSharp Electric Knife Sharpener has Made My Whetstone Obsolete
Hey, I grew up in the country, and learning how to use a whetstone was almost mandatory. I’ve spent countless hours sharpening knives for hunting, cooking, fishing and construction work on my old Arkansas whetstone. I was good at it too. I could put a razor edge on just about any type of blade, given enough time and patience.
